This winter WESA is introducing our new Sunday Night Futsal League. This program will provide players the ability to get plenty of touches on the ball in a fun small sided team environment, while playing the worlds fastest growing indoor sport, Futsal.
The program will be in the format of mixed teams within their age groups and split boys and girls. This will be created by splitting the gym in half to create one side for the girls of that age group and the other half for the boys of that age group. These mixed teams will be random and will change every week (emailed out beforehand so players arrive knowing who they are with) meaning players are always mixing it up with regards to who they are playing with and against. By the end of the program everybody should have played with everyone in their age group, that is registered for the program. There will be a mini players league too for every individual player to be involved in where the player who is on the winning team the most will receive a small prize from WESA at the end of the program. There will be a boy and girl winner within every age group.
Teams will range from 3v3 to 5v5 depending on registrations for each age groups. Co-ed may be utilized if registration numbers don’t allow for gender specific groups. Special Futsal balls will be used that reduce bounce along with small sided games with Bownets that will have no goalkeeper.
