Joseph Draper

Joseph Draper grew up in Huntley, Illinois 40 miles from Chicago. As a lad he spent his days sneaking into Soldier Field to join the “Barn Burners” in cheering on MLS’ premier team The Chicago Fire. The inspiration of those early MLS legends led Joseph to tryout and play 3 seasons with Heat United Soccer Club in which time his squad won the league once, finished runner-up in the PUMA Champions Cup, and had two miserable seasons without a single win. Joseph played two seasons of high school ball with a homeschool team called the Crossroad Crusaders with the team winning the BCC his first season and taking 4th at the national homeschool tournament the second. As a senior he captained the squad from Chamberlain-Hunt Academy to its first playoff appearance in as many as 10 seasons, and was named a Mississippi State All-Star. As a cadet at the nation’s finest military college, The Citadel, Joseph was one of two freshman on Oscar Company’s intramural championship team, and was a part of them earning a top 3 finish every season of his cadet career. He also helped re-form the school’s men’s soccer club after it folded due to disciplinary concerns (Joseph was not involved at that time). Some notable matches Joseph has attended as a fan include: USA 2-0 Mexico (Columbus, Ohio Feb. 11, 2009), Albania 3-0 Israel ( Haifa, Israel June 11, 2017), (Red Bull Salzburg 4-0 SV Reid, Salzburg, Austria May 04, 2014) and too many Chicago Fire wins against the New England Revolution to count!
