League Team: Participate in 2-3 practices per week, 8 league games (home and away), and 1 end-of-season tournament. You are committing to travel when you register.
Practice Squad Players: Participate in 2-3 practices per week. League games and tournament(s) are not included in this option. 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 21st, 2023

You are encouraged to register by the published registration deadline in order to secure a spot on the league team. All participants who register after the registration deadline will only receive a spot on the league team roster if the roster has not yet been filled. If the roster is full, even before the deadline, you will have the option to be on the practice squad. We encourage you to register for the practice squad if the roster is full to avoid any additional fees after the deadline.

NOTE: If the roster is full, SE will not allow you to make a payment for the league team. We highly encourage you to select the practice squad option which will act as a waiting list for the league team.  Based on final numbers and interest, we will do our best to accommodate getting players on a league team.  If the roster is full and you have to register for the practice squad, please email us (westelksoccer@gmail.com) and indicate you registered for the practice squad but would prefer to be on the league team. Additional teams will be added if enough players allow and players who registered as practice squad will have the chance to move across to the league team if they would like.

When registering for programs in SportsEngine, open it on google chrome, not Safari. SportsEngine advises that you close all tabs that are associated with SportsEngine if you are using Safari and then try it again, then try another device if that still isn't working. Although Google Chrome should work every time.

UNIFORMS:

• Uniforms for Fall 2023 are the same as Fall 2022/Spring 2023 and will need to be purchased through our online vendor. These uniforms are designed to last through Spring 2024. So we advise potentially sizing up to get maximum seasons out of it. If your Fall 2022/Spring 2023 uniform fits, you have no need to purchase another.
• It is VERY IMPORTANT that you do not assign a random number to your son/daughter's jersey. The number list is on our uniform vendor page if you have forgotten your number.
• NEW players across the club, please contact Tom to be assigned a jersey number for your uniform, DO NOT PURCHASE A UNIFORM WITH A RANDOM NUMBER. We have added U8 players moving into U10 to our number list. Please check!

• U19 Girls DO NOT NEED TO PURCHASE A UNIFORM

Age Verification for NEW Players
If you have never played for WESA previously, please email Tom at westelksoccer@gmail.com with a scanned copy of your son/daughter's birth certificate after registration, this allows us to age-verify them so they can play in games.

We highly recommend that everyone reads the below policies for the upcoming season. Depending on registrations, some age groups may need to have certain areas of the Team Placement and Player Evaluation policy kick in. Particularly, 'What if there are not enough for two teams, but too many for one team? (U12, U15, U19)'
