Spring 2024 Season Information 10U-15U
Registration for the Spring 2024 Tournament season is open!
AGE GROUPS
U10 Age Group: Birthdate 2014 and 2015
*If you are a U8 player and did not play U10 WESA in the fall, you will automatically be on the Practice Squad team for Spring 2024*
U12 Age Group: Birthdate 2012 and 2013
U15 Age Group: Birthdate 2009 (8th grade), 2010 and 2011
WESA Age Group Policy:
WESA uses the United States Youth Soccer (USYS) approved age groups for ALL players unless special circumstances warrant playing up or down. Any requests to have a child play up or down must be submitted in writing to the Director of Coaching for approval.
Rosters are capped as follows:
U10 Boys/Girls – 12 players per team max, playing 7v7
U12 Boys/Girls – 16 players per team max, playing 9v9
U15 Boys/Girls – 18 players per team max, playing 11v11

Program Description and Deadlines
Tournament Team: Participate in 2-3 practices per week, 2-weekend tournaments, and 3 weekends for in-house games OR games against Western Slope teams. You are committing to playing in 2 weekends of tournaments.
Practice Squad Players: Participate in 2-3 practices per week. Tournaments are not included in this option. Non-tournament weekend games will be available if the team requires extra players.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 29th, 2024 ($100 late fee from March 30th)
Register for the Practice Squad if you do not want your child to travel or play in tournaments. Register for the Tournament Team if you are interested in traveling and playing in tournaments. You will be notified of your child's team placement after registration closes. If your child is placed on the Practice Squad and you registered for the Tournament Team, you will be reimbursed to match the Practice Squad season fee. When registering for programs in SportsEngine, open it on Google Chrome, not safari. SportsEngine advises that you close all tabs that are associated with SportsEngine if you are using safari and then try it again, then try another device if that still isn't working. Although Google Chrome should work every time.
Important Season Dates, Practice Schedule and Cost
SEASON DATES: April 22 – May 27, 2024 (5 weeks)
Practices begin on April 22
Friendly Game Weekends:
April 27, May 4, May 11: *if we can find friendlies with Western Slope Teams*
Tournament Dates:
May 18-19: Rocky Mountain Spring Championships (Formerly Rock Cup) (Denver/Aurora)
May 25-27: Stenger Invitational Tournament (Denver/Arvada)
Player Evaluations:
May 29-June 6: Player Evaluations for Fall 2024
For U12-U19 Boys and Girls - Age groups to be announced
*Player Evaluations are required for any player wishing to play Fall 2024*

Colorado Rapids Game!
Colorado Rapids Game: May 25th
WESA has rented out a canopy for players to come watch a Colorado Rapids game together during the Stenger Tournament. Tickets are $70 and will include access to the canopy area, pizza, and a drink.
Uniforms and Financial Assistance
Uniforms:
- Uniforms from Fall 2023 will be used for the Spring 2024 Season. Tournaments REQUIRE all players to have jerseys with numbers on the back with no duplicate numbers on a team
- There is a LIMITED supply is available for rent or purchase from the WESA office.
- It is VERY IMPORTANT that you do not assign a random number to your son/daughter's jersey. The number list is on our uniform vendor page if you have forgotten your number.
- NEW players across the club, please contact Tom to be assigned a jersey number for your uniform, DO NOT PURCHASE A UNIFORM WITH A RANDOM NUMBER.

Age Verification for NEW Players
If you have never played for WESA previously, please email Tom at westelksoccer@gmail.com with a scanned copy of your son/daughter's birth certificate after registration, this allows us to age-verify them so they can play in games.

Please note that SportsEngine has removed the ability to pay by check due to a new financial system they have launched.
