Program Information
Tournament Team: Participate in 2-3 practices per week, 2-weekend away tournaments, and 3 weekends for in-house games OR games against Western Slope teams. You are committing to playing in 2 weekends of away tournaments.
Development Team: Participate in 2-3 practices per week. Tournaments are not included in this option. Non-tournament weekend games will be available IF the team requires extra players.
REGISTRATION DEADLINE: March 2nd, 2026 ($100 late fee from March 3rd)
Financial Aid due March 1st, 2026 - apply via PlayMetrics
You will be notified of your child's team placement after registration closes. If your child is placed on the Development Team and you registered for the Tournament Team, you will be reimbursed to match the Development Team season fee. Please read the Team Placement & Evaluation Policy. If you have any additional questions read the Team Placement FAQ.
All fall 2025 Tournament Team players will have priority for roster spots for the Spring 2026 season. Players who were on the Development Team in the Fall who have chosen to register to the Tournament Team in the Spring will be provided a roster spot for games/tournaments IF one is available.
Dates, Cost, & Schedule
SEASON DATES: March 23 – May 25, 2026 (8 weeks)
Practices begin on March 23
The first 3 weeks will be in gyms with 2 practices per week per team.
The last 5 weeks will be outdoors (as weather allows) with 3 practicer per week per team.

April 25-26, May 2-3, May 9-10: *if we can find friendlies with Western Slope Teams*

Uniforms & Financial Aid
Uniforms
- Uniforms from Fall 2025 will be used for the Spring 2026 Season. Tournaments REQUIRE all players to have jerseys with numbers on the back with no duplicate numbers on a team
- There is a LIMITED supply is available for rent or purchase from the WESA office. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you do not assign a random number to your son/daughter's jersey. The number list is on our uniform vendor page if you have forgotten your number.
- NEW players across the club, please contact Tom to be assigned a jersey number for your uniform, DO NOT PURCHASE A UNIFORM WITH A RANDOM NUMBER

Financial Aid
Financial Assistance is available. Applications are due on or before March 1st, 2026. You can apply for financial aid via PlayMetrics.
Age Verification for NEW Players
If you have never played for WESA previously, please email Tom at westelksoccer@gmail.com with a scanned copy of your son/daughter's birth certificate after registration, this allows us to age-verify them so they can play in games.

U10 Team Placement Recommendation
- 2016 players who have played WESA before, and are ready to compete against other competitive teams, are ok with traveling and playing other competitive teams, we recommend playing tournament.
- 2017 players who have played WESA before, and are ready to compete against other competitive teams, are ok with traveling and playing other competitive teams, we recommend playing tournament.
- We recommend the development team for 2016 and 2017 players looking to have zero to minimal travel in a more relaxed and lower pressure-based environment. These teams will commit to one tournament this spring o Memorial Day weekend in Denver.
- 2016 and 2017 who are new to WESA (have not played in anything with WESA) we recommend the development team.
- 2018 players new to WESA in the spring will only be placed on the Development team roster for tournaments if spots are available, otherwise, they will just be on the Development team without playing in a tournament.
- All 2016 and 2017 Development Team players will attend 1 tournament on Memorial Day weekend.
- Players playing in the Fall have first right to roster spots if teams are full.

If you are interested in attending the Colorado Rapids vs. FC Dallas game while teams are in Denver for the Stenger Tournament, you may purchase tickets below. This is not organized by WESA.
Tournament Hotel Booking
Rocky Mountain Spring Championship
The tournament partners with THS and players are required to book their hotel through THS. There are three field complexes this year, and are about 45 minutes apart. Team schedules will be released May 3rd. We recommend you wait to book your hotel until the schedules are released.
